CSOs of Los Angeles
The opportunity came in the form of a dinner for a group of CSOs in Beverly Hills Wednesday night. The host was kind enough to invite me, so off I go.
I'll also be doing some security vendor site visits while I'm there, as well as taking photographs for a security slideshow I can only describe as offbeat.
I must wonder, though, why it's so hard to find security conferences that are held in LA. RSA has its big annual show in San Francisco, a favorite location for its close proximity to Silicon Valley. Fortunately for me, Boston is a favorite location, too. But I can never find anything in LA.
The real losers are the Southern California-based security practitioners who would benefit from such conferences.
That said, I suspect there are some good security events the locals have for networking and presentations. I want to know about them.
So if you are based in LA and know of such events, let me know and I'll write about it.
And if you have an event this week, perhaps I'll drop by.
