Foreshadowing - Behind Bars Where He Belongs - Adam Perlman

to Physical Security |
I have written before about Adam Perlman and may find myself doing so again in the future but it is not likely. Since his originally report arrest in Pakistan (amongst some confusion over someone with his nom de guerre) one day after releasing a new video (UPDATE BELOW), the arrogant Adam now finds himself behind bars. A state of permanence that suits him well. His long search for utopia can be honed now in a small cell that is cold, dark and dank. His quest hopefully will soon be answered.

An excerpt from Adam’s latest continues in much the same way as his previous diatribes, extolling the virtues of mindless murder and mayhem through a distorted view of Islam:

“We must always remember that our role models aren’t our enemies: our role models are the Prophet, His Companions and the righteous and God-fearing Mujahideen. We must always remember that we are different than the Zionists and Crusaders with whom we are locked in combat: We are not outlaws. We are not gangsters. We are not hypocrites. We are not barbarians. We are not opportunists and mercenaries. We are not enemies of freedom and civilization. We are not cowards who wage wars from behind the controls of pilotless aircraft. In other words, everything our enemies are, we are not, and everything we are, they are not.  We are people of courage, honor, decency, chivalry and ethics who selflessly sacrifice themselves for the noblest cause on earth, and that is why every Muslim and every Mujahid must continue to take the high road and protect the moral high ground which we have fought so long and hard to secure.”

What is quite apparent about Gadahn’s statements as well as countless other statements from Zawahiri, Bin Laden and others of this ilk is the perversion of Islam and the blasphemous twisting of Qur’anic Surahs. It is quite unfortunate that those of the Salafi mindset have perverted Islam and the teachings of Muhammad [PBUH] to be nothing more than mindless slaughter. His talk of not being a gangster or barbarian can easily be refuted when we look at the beheadings, indiscriminate murder and drug running activities that have been hallmarks of al-Qa’eda. Every Muslim must look at what al-Qa’eda stands for: a morally bankrupt group of thugs who offer nothing other than the indiscriminate slaughter of anyone who does not agree with them.

Muslims of the world should turn to the Fatwa Against Terrorism and Suicide Bombing by the highly respected Dr. Tahir ul-Qadri. In this fatwa, Dr. and Sheikh Tahir ul-Qadri, a prominent Islamic scholar condemns terrorism as “kufr” or an act of disbelief so severe that that those who believe in it forfeit their right to call themselves Muslims. He also denounced those who try to justify suicide bombings by claiming Muslims who carry out such operations are martyrs destined for paradise:

“They can’t claim that their suicide bombings are martyrdom operations and that they become the heroes of the Muslim umma [Islamic community],” he said. “No, they become the heroes of hellfire and they are leading towards hellfire. There is no place for any martyrdom and their act is never, ever to be considered jihad [holy struggle].”

A summary of the fatwa (in English) can be found here. It is time that all Muslims listened to the words of such a respected scholar and “sheikh ul-Islam”, one of the highest positions in Islamic jurisprudence, and also the head of Minhaj ul-Quran. The true words of Muhammad [PBUH] are flowing through the statements of Dr. ul-Qadri, not through the mindless ramblings of an Adam Perlman.

UPDATE:

Pakistan: Gadahn Not Arrested - Security Official

March 7, 2010 - 4:55PM EST

Pakistani security officials said March 7 that American-born al Qaeda spokesman Adam Gadahn was not arrested in Karachi, but that another suspected militant, reportedly named Abu Yahiya, was arrested, AFP reported. A senior security official said the individual was initially believed to be Gadahn, but it now appears Gadahn was mistaken with Yahida, and that Gadahn himself was not arrested. The official said Pakistan is attempting to confirm the individual’s nationality and background.

As Yogi Berra says: That's Deja Vu all over again.
