Cox Communications has named Phil Agcaoili to the position of Chief Information Security Officer.
Previously, Agcaoili was the Senior Manager of the Global Information Security Assurance & Consulting organization at Dell, providing risk guidance, overall information security leadership, and vulnerability assessment/ethical hacking services to Dell internal groups including IT, Cloud Services (SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS), Product Group (PG), and the Dell Financial Services (DFS) organization. At Dell he established a global, self-service oriented Security Development Lifecycle (SDL) program and helped bake security assurance into the contracts processes helping drive partners to adopt security industry best practices.
He has also served as Chief Security Architect at Scientific Atlanta (A Cisco Company) and
Chief Information Security Officer at VeriSign.
