Jon Oltsik has a blog post up that absolutely nails what should be going on in the world on NAC and identity-based networking.

For two years, I've been trying to pound the drum about the "network layer" integrating identity, so that the network layer and application layer could actually work jointly to secure the enterprise. Outside of a few NAC insiders, my pleas have fallen on deaf ears.

Here's hoping that Jon has more success than I have...
