Microsoft adds to their identity ranks

It seems that everywhere you turn these days, all you hear about is lay-offs. Heck, even Microsoft is laying off people. So, I was pleased to see Kim Cameron's recent blog entry, where he detailed some recent HIRES they've been making for the identity team.

It's a great group of people (I know Ariel and Mark from past Digital ID world conferences), and Kim implies that there's more hiring to come.

It will be interesting to watch Microsoft work the identity angle through the recession. Times like this are when they can acquire a TON of talent, and really corner an industry. Is this, combined with hiring open source maverick Dick Hardt, the beginning of that? We shall see...
