Mobile Secrets - Jihadis Continue to Demonstrate Their Technical Prowess

to Identity Management |
Last year we provided information on Mujahideen Secrets v2 (MSv2) which uses RSA 2048 bit asymmetric keys and 256 symmetric keys (Rijndael, RC6, Mars, Serpent, and TwoFish). Recently, jihadis have called for increased usage of (MSv2) reposting the program along with instructional videos and corresponding documents to complement the extensive help files. Over the past few weeks, the Center for Studies and Technical Research or Technical Research and Studies Center (TRSC) had been advertising the soon-to-be released Mobile Secrets program geared towards encrypting data on mobile devices. Today (9/20/2009) they released v0.4 beta indicating a full GA (general availability) on October 9, 2009. They are quite pleased to announce that their brothers at the Center of Studies and Technical Research (TRSC) have delivered Secrets of the Mobile (Mobile Secrets) first pilot (version 0.4), to encrypt messages and files for mobile phones. As technology continues to get smaller, jihadi use of such technology increases as does their need to secure their sensitive messages. The maturity of their SDLC increases as required with enhanced tools coupled with detailed awareness and training for their customers.

The continued expansion of their encryption capabilities demonstrates increased technical prowess and skill most likely learned in Western universities. The latest tool written in Java is geared to covered most cell phones and PDAs that use freely available technology. In a continued demonstration of using our technology and infrastructure against us, the jihadis posted v0.4 today at 11:56AM EST making the file available on the usual cloud storage sites driven by links from their standard communities. In typical fashion, the program announcement when viral within hours and is now being advertised on most major jihadi community networks. Particulars about the program are as follows:

Program Features:

- AES 256 encryption algorithm

- Property camouflage encryption (text and files encrypted using one time passwords)

- Encrypt text messages to and in SMS

- Combine encrypted files for transmission

- Encrypt small files (<2.5MB)

- Save Options program automatically

- 3 languages: Arabic, French, English

- Works on most modern JAVA **** MIDP 2.0

(The Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP) lets you write downloadable applications and services for network-connectable mobile devices. When combined with the Connected Limited Device Configuration (CLDC), MIDP is the Java runtime environment for today's most popular compact mobile information devices, such as cell phones and mainstream PDAs)

The full version (GA) is scheduled for Sunday, 1 October 1430 (2009), as per the status on 20/09/2009
