Angel Cruz has joined advanced communications provider CenturyTel as Chief Security Officer and Director of Security. Cruz was formerly Director of Information Protection and CISO at global manufacturer Freescale Semiconductor, Director for Information Security at The University of Texas at Austin, and IT Security Manager at The University of Texas - Pan American. He holds the CISSP and CISM certifications and a Graduate Certificate in Computer Systems Management from The University of Maryland - University College.
