Everyone knows that almost anything goes at Black Hat. But the Associated Press (AP) released a story yesterday about three French reporters who were just bounced from Black Hat for spying on eWeek and CNET in the Press room. Wow ...

This story was covered by numerous sources, including Yahoo's Business News

Here's an excerpt: "... three journalists working for the French publication Global Security Magazine were booted Thursday from the hackers' conference after they were allegedly caught hacking into the private computer network set up for the media."

I spent some time looking at the CNET and eWeek websites, but I couldn't find their versions of the stories (as of Saturday morning, August 9, EST).  It should be interesting to hear their side of the story if and when they publish their account of events. Of course, this may be a criminal case, in which case we may not hear any more details for many months.
