The Acquisitions Continue
Tue, 2008-04-08 11:33

A quick news hit coming the week of the RSA show (and by news hit I mean actual news, not PR from the 7 gajillion companies at RSA): Hitachi has acquired a majority stake in M-Tech. M-Tech is known in the identity world, but mostly known for being fairly dominant in the Canadian marketplace. Hitachi, on the other hand, is well known outside of identity, but apparently has a rather large biometric presence in Japan (with their finger vein authentication technology).

Put it all together and what does it spell? I'm not quite sure. But I do know that identity acquisitions are continuing to stay *hot* in Q2.

Who gets acquired next?
