John Wellborn has been named VP and chief security officer of Minnesota-based US Bancorp, responsible for overseeing the company's security and investigations division.

Wellborn has more than 18 years' experience in security and emergency management, including positions with Microsoft Global Security and with Guaranty Bank in Dallas.
