Ken is Executive Director and Head of Information Security for the Americas region of financial institution, located in New York City. Prior that he was CSO of Capital IQ (now a division of Standard and Poor's). Prior to Capital IQ, Ken was with Avaya's Enterprise Security Consulting Practice for the Northeastern US Region, and was also formerly CISO of Miradiant Global Network. Ken's IT and Security experience spans over two decades with strategic experience at companies such as Microsoft, Dell, Identix, Barnes and Noble.com, and Merrill Lynch. While at Microsoft Ken coauthored Microsoft's "Best Practices for Enterprise Security" white paper series, was a technical contributor for the MCSE Exam "Designing Security for Windows 2000" and official course curriculum for the same. In 1998 Ken founded "The NT Toolbox", where he oversaw all operations and led the company to acquisition by GFI Software in 2002. Ken has written or contributed to a number of notable books and publications on information security matters such as "Hack Proofing Your Network 2nd Edition", "Network Security - The Complete Reference", "Stealing the Network - How to Own the Box", "Network Security Assessment - From Vulnerability to Patch", and others. He reported on security risks and performed vulnerability analysis for Windows IT Pro Magazine's "Security Administrator" publication for four years, and has spoken
publicly at some of the largest security conferences in the world such
as RSA, InfoSec World and Black Hat.
